A native Texan, Anthony studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York before being discovered by Julie Taymore of Lion King fame. This would lead to three seasons of “The Haggadah” at the New York Shakespeare Festival. After taking over the role of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors in New York, Anthony left for England to open the London production, training others for replacements, then to the Sidney, Australia production before topping it off with the Frank Oz / Warner Brother production of the film.
 
The now infamous Spitting Image was soon to follow and ran for sixteen years. The first twelve Anthony served as Head Puppeteer and Voice Artist then the lead in Round the Bend playing Doc Croc. For “The Winjun Pom” Anthony was Lead Performer and Coordinator. Creating the Voice and Performance of Madison in Dick King Smith’s Harry’s Mad, ITV’s long running success for children’s television.
In between all the television Anthony has made over forty commercials as well as films such as; “Labyrinth” with Jim Henson,“The Witches” with Nick Roeg, and “The Flintstones” in which Anthony performed an array of creatures from Dino to the Dictabird, as well as working as Coordinator for Director Brian Levant.
 
Anthony’s on screen credits include a Record Producer for “Perfect Scoundrels” for TVS, a Rock Star for “Out of Sight”, a Gunslinger in “Wizzywig”, Jo Anna Lumley’s boyfriend in “Absolutely Fabulous” for the BBC and a Shakespearean Actor playing Romeo for “Between the Lions”.
 
Currently running on American television Anthony’s work can be seen daily on “Allegra’s Window” and “The Wubullous World of Dr.Seuss” on Noggin and “Between the Lions” on PBS as well as voiceover work for Comedy Central and Showtime.
 
After a year on Broadway with Little Shop of Horrors, Anthony returned to Between the Lions for a fifth season allowing him to exercise a variety of talents from Principle Performer to Coordinator, to Voice Artist to Director
